Roommates, we are keeping “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Mia Thornton lifted in prayer. On Friday, she shared with her followers that after receiving recent test results she was told that she would need to go to Johns Hopkins Cancer Center.
She said in an Instagram post, “Same time last week, Doc called at 7:31am — Mia I’m so sorry but your test results came back and I need you to go to Johns Hopkins Cancer Center today.”
She continued, “You can only imagine the overwhelming amount of emotion G and I endured trying to figure out why. However, even with such terrible news, I felt an extreme amount of peace and energy instilled that allowed me to remain strong.”
Mia says that she has since been meeting with specialists, and although the process is not over, she has already been changed through the experience. “I know God has a plan and I know we are often challenged to remain humbled that tomorrow is not promised and that our days on this earth are numbered,” she added.

Mia received support from women of the Real Housewives franchise in her comment section, including, Eboni K. Williams, Sheree Whitfield, Monique Samuels, and Cynthia Bailey.
Mia was introduced to the RHOP franchise as a main cast member in its sixth season. She was brought on to the show as a friend of Karen Huger and quickly created her own lane on the show.
