Roommates, Nicki Minaj has been very vocal about her qualms with some of the men in the industry, Most recently, she pulled up on Joe Budden’s podcast and comments about an old Rick Ross track where her name is mentioned.
Ross’ 2017 track ‘Apple Of My Eye’ seems to take shots at Nicki after Ross says “I told Meek I wouldn’t trust Nicki/Instead of beefin’ with your dog, you just give ’em some distance.” Well, it’s safe to say the Queen did not take kindly to the line and had some things to get off her chest!
As we previously reported, Nicki says she went to a meeting with President Obama where Ross was present, and Ross called her a “keeper”, in reference to her support for Meek Mill.
“And then you come out on a weak a** album and try to disrespect Nicki Minaj?”, she says. “Boy sit yo fat a** down.”
In an interview with The Breakfast Club, Rick Ross speaks on everything from the music, to hustling, and some of the beef he’s encountered in the industry as well. This includes the most recent comments from Nicki.
In a very unclear back and forth, the two rappers seem to be scrapping about a fall out between Ross and possibly Drake. Ross says he believes Nicki brought the bad blood to life, and anybody who believes otherwise is “lying”
Ross maintains his statement about Nicki being a keeper, and when asked about it by DJ Envy, his response definitely incites some laughter.
“I mean if somebody went in to meet Obama with you, she is a keeper until you find out otherwise,” Ross says. “She was around me a few times and she was a huge talent but she was playing a very important position at the time. She was in between Meek and Drake at the time.”
Ross continues, and seems to reference some sort of beef between him and presumably Drizzy. He says things went sour, and she is the prime suspect in the case.
“Most definitely when I seen it go to sour, it would be easy to assume she may have had something to do with that,” he says. “And if somebody tells you they didn’t, they lying.”
As of now, it looks like the beef could still be brewing, but stay with us for all the tea when it drops, Roomies!
