Last October, news about Rihanna’s brand Savage X Fenty opening its own U.S. stores was first announced by Christiane Pendarvis, the co-president and chief merchandising and design officer at Savage X Fenty. Now Rihanna has spoken out about the stores that are set to open in five different cities.
On Friday, Rihanna took to social media to share an image of what the stores would look like, and said, “2022, we coming in HOT! We bout to bring you a whole new #SavageXFenty experience with the launch of our brick-and-mortar retail stores! Can’t believe it’s actually that time, and I can’t wait for you to have this experience irl…. our very first locations: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, Philadelphia, and Washington DC.”
As previously reported, Pendarvis confirmed the stores were set to open this year during an interview with Bloomberg. In the interview, she said, “Retail is an important part of our growth strategy. You’ll absolutely see some stores in 2022.” She added, “Because fit and comfort are so important, there are just customers who don’t feel comfortable purchasing online.”
“Initially, they all will be in the U.S., but we’re absolutely having conversations around what does that expansion potentially look like in the EU,” continued Pendarvis.
At the moment, there were no specific dates mentioned on when the stores would be opening in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. However, fans who do not live in those cities are already asking for a Savage X Fenty location to be open in their cities as well.
