Looks like Robin Thicke can get to see his ex wife one more time in court but this time she’ll be testifying on behalf of him! Can you say AWKWARD!!
Well if you didn’t know Robin Thicke has been feuding with Marvin Gaye III since 2013 over songs that he believes Robin stole from his father, Marvin Gaye, such as “Blurred Lines” and “Love After War” and according to court documents Paula has been listed as a witness in the case.
Robin tried to get the case dismissed but U.S. District Judge John A. Kronstadt denied the motion in October because he felt as though Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and Marvin Gaye’s “Got To Give It Up” sound the same when it came to phrases, hooks, and melodies, amongst other things.
According to TMZ, “Paula is expected to testify about the 2011 song, ‘Love After War‘… which Gaye thinks copies Marvin’s ‘After the Dance.’ Paula appeared in the ‘Love’ music video, and we’re told she co-wrote it with Robin.” The trial is set for February 10 in Los Angeles.
Paula Patton and Robin Thicke divorced after nine years of marriage claiming irreconcilable differences but co parent their 4-year-old son Julian together.
I think it’s nice that Paula would help her ex boo out even if he did cheat on her and is now dating a girl old enough to be his daughter, but I’m glad she could look past all of that!
