“As I’m writing this, I realize I should have swiped it to the left! But anyway, I met this really handsome guy on Tinder recently and everything got off on the right foot! We talked a whole lot about literally everything and found that we had the very same interests. Hmph! For whatever reason, after only a couple of weeks, my female instinct began ringiiiing, telling me that something was off about this guy and that this “tinderationship” was not going to end well. So, unlike my younger, more naive self, I listened and began doing my research on this tinderoni. Too bad I can’t take credit for Big Sean’s song with Ariana Grande, because this happened well after, but I digress!
I had decided that I had every right to look through his social media, because we were talking and had been intimate. Soon after coming to that agreement with myself, I looked through his IG and found that pics of his “ex” were still up! Of course I saw her commenting under them too and when I clicked to view her page, first of all, it said “wife” in her bio. Secondly, I noticed that they have the same last name, so that’s when I knew that this guy was married!! I kept quiet about this for two months and immediately gave up all desire I had for him. I’m not one of those types of females. That’d be too easy (pun intended).
The reason I kept quiet was because I thought it was hilarious that I beat him at his own game…in only two weeks lol. The final blow was when he came over one day as I was just ready for it all to be over. This day, he started volunteering info about his “ex”, as he called her, and told me that she was married. However, according to his Facebook profile, they’re looking like a happily married couple. How odd! ‘Ole dude got so defensive when I finally let the cat out of the bag. It was like throwing salt on a slug and watching it fizzle into nothing. Don’t you know he kept trying to tell me that he wasn’t married? Bish, please! A Tweet grazed across my TL a few days later that said he was at a couples retreat. GTFOH!”
