Erica Mena filed for divorce from her estranged husband Safaree just a few weeks ago, on May 25th, and it looks like the battle over who gets what is already underway. The couple who have been married for less than two years are not on the same page about who should get custody of their daughter Safire and their baby on the way. Erica shocked everyone when she revealed that she was expecting her second child with Safaree on May 3rd. The child is due next month.
According to new reports from TMZ, Safaree wants to have joint custody of the children despite Erica’s request for primary custody of their children. He stated that consistent, uninterrupted parenting and visitation are in the best interest of the kids. As we recently reported, Erica reportedly seeks to retain “exclusive use” of the couple’s home. Safaree doesn’t have a problem with that. He actually wants Erica to remain in their home. However, he wants to maintain exclusive possession of their vehicles and maintain all personal property they obtained individually throughout the marriage.
Safaree is also trying to protect his coins! The report states he wants the court to deny Erica any rights to receive alimony and allow the courts to determine child support. The estranged couple has been quiet on social media and hasn’t spoken much on the matter. Erica seems to be focused on her health. She recently shared on her Instagram story that she was in the hospital being monitored due to her pregnancy.
