Roommates, Safaree is known for his over-the-top-personality, his love of his Jamaican heritage and his love of fur—but that has all changed, as he recently took a surprising stance on his current outlook on wearing fur. Taking to social media, Safaree posted that after years of rocking some of the hottest styles, he has decided to no longer wear or support the fur industry.
Safaree posted the following message about his newly anti-fur stance:
“To the FUR world I’ve been ignorant 2 alot of things going on in our planet but now I will make a change and stop supporting the killing of any wildlife and the extinction of living things. I wish the police would feel like this about killing unarmed black men, but this is a start”
You’ll recall that back in 2019, Safaree went viral when he participated in a New York rally protesting the ban against fur. In one of the multiple videos posted from the incident, he wrote the caption “IM NOT FOR IT!! Safaree X thousands of jobs will be lost if this goes through for a lot of hardbworking ppl! our choice out right #NoFurBan #furinpeace STR88888.”
Meanwhile on the other side of things, fans are still wondering where things stand between Safaree and his wife Erica Mena, after the two have separately taken to social media to state that their marriage is over…or at least seriously on the rocks.
The last we heard from the two, Safaree said that getting married was the biggest mistake of his life and Erica agreed.
