Whew! Roommates, the drama between Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena shows no signs of ending. Erica had words for her ex-husband after he recently released footage on YouTube of previous incidents between them.
His callout comes amid Erica’s reaction to his reported request to lower child support for their son and daughter. Additionally, Mena has shared an alleged calendar marking the time each parent has spent with the kids in 2024. She pointed out that Safaree has only allegedly been with their children 16 times this year.

Safaree Shares Home Camera Footage Of Altercations With Erica Mena
As y’all may know, the former couple has clashed over the years, allowing their issues to play out on social media and reality TV. On Wednesday (Oct. 16), Safaree Samuels released a storytime video on YouTube called ‘The Truth About Being A Deadbeat | My Truth Revealed.’
In a clip at the start of the video, Safaree claims he’s on the phone with police while Erica shoves him in front of their son and daughter. Another clip shows Erica banging on a glass door. In the video, he expresses his eagerness to share everything and his decision to stop being quiet.
“I love my kids and it’s gotten to the point that I… I have to put myself first because I’m either gonna end up in jail or worse, because I’m dealing with someone who’s anger management is just nonexistent,” Safaree said.
Safaree Discusses Restraining Order Against Erica & Defends Claim Of Not Being A Deadbeat Dad
In the YouTube video, Safaree also discussed getting a restraining order against Erica after footage showed her climbing his fence with a ladder. However, he said he couldn’t pursue the restraining order since he attended his son’s birthday, where Erica was present, raising doubts about the need for a restraining order.
Additionally, he also claimed that Erica sent an explicit photo of him to his mother and his sister in an effort to prove they were still sexually involved. However, he says that’s no longer the case.
Safaree continued defending his reputation as a dad, sharing details about a summer with the kids. The television star said they attended summer camp for only three days because Erica was opposed to it. He backed up his decision to enroll his kids in the camp by showing what their activity schedule would have been and a gift his daughter made for him during her short enrollment period. Also, he claimed to have paid $2,000 for the camp.
“It was just such a control thing and created so much drama. Nothing made absolute, any sense. It was just such an irate, ignorant conversation, to the point where we don’t even speak directly,” he explained.
He further explained that no deadbeat would go to the effort of making their home comfortable for their kids. He then panned the camera to show a space filled with pictures of him and his children and highlighted his daughter’s decorated bedroom.
“Deadbeats ain’t doing this. It’s so insane to me how people just… ‘yeah you’re a [deadbeat].’ I know about real deadbeats and this situation is all about control,” he continued.
Erica Mena Reacts To Altercation Footage & Claims Of Restraining Order Against Her
Shortly after Safaree posted the footage on YouTube, Erica reacted on Instagram. She shared a screenshot from her own home camera, claiming she had evidence of Safaree trying to get into her home and begging to reconcile. She called him out, saying that if he wants to make a video painting her as the problem, he should also mention his attempts to get his “so-called family back.”
Erica claims that Safaree Samuels allegedly attempted to file a restraining order in 2023 but backed out due to her evidence against him, like his attempts to reconcile in front of their kids. The ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star also accused him of orchestrating the YouTube video and causing her financial strain by neglecting their children and failing to pay child support for months.
Erica claimed Safaree stayed silent during their drama to blackmail her with the YouTube footage. She pointed out that he chose to skip their daughter’s birthday and showed up to his son’s party empty-handed. Furthermore, she questioned his actions and why he remained absent from their kids’ lives despite blaming her.
