In a recent video shared by Live Bitez, Tyrese’s ex-wife claimed that men have stopped pursuing women. Furthermore, Samantha gave her reasoning, saying its because men are constantly being publicly shamed. Her message sparked chatter online, with viewers weighing in on the expectations placed on men in relationships today. While she didn’t name names, the sentiment struck a nerve, and now social media is in full debate mode.
“I believe in a man being a lion about his. I also think the way that we have done things in society has kind of ruined that for men. Like, women want to post you or say negative things about you, to where, men don’t feel comfortable pursuing as much anymore because of how women have come about it.”

Back in 2023, Tyrese appeared as a guest on an episode of ‘The Joe Budden Podcast.’ And, during the discussion, he seemingly opened up about his past marriage to Samantha Lee. The 46-year-old shared that he was “absolutely committed” to the relationship and admitted that after it ended, he lost “everything he ever had.” As the conversation continued, Tyrese claimed Lee’s materialistic tendencies became more apparent during their marriage. He also disputed her child support request, alleging they never spent $20,000 a month on their daughter.
However, shortly after the episode aired, Samantha Lee posted a video on Instagram speaking about trust and life lessons, noting in her caption that the post wasn’t directed at anyone and was inspired by a Bishop T.D. Jakes clip. Still, Tyrese wasn’t convinced. The next day, he reposted her video with a sharp message, accusing her of chasing clout and faking their relationship “to get the bag.” And, Tyrese even told her to run him his last name.
