After months of keeping things low-key, the New York Jets cornerback is opening up about his leading lady and dropped a bombshell on fans. LeBron James apparently played a part in the pairs first meeting! From their flirty social media comments to a fateful encounter on The Shop, heres the 411 on their romance.
Sauce was strolling through the streets of Los Angeles when a TMZ cameraman swooped in, ready to get the tea on his relationship with the Munch rapper. At first, Sauce played it cool, giving that “I aint spilling nothing” energy. But when the cameraman pressed him, wondering if his standoffish attitude meant trouble in paradise, Sauce shut it down quick. “We cool,” he said with a smirk, letting us know he and Ice are still going strong. The cameraman wasnt letting up, pointing out that Ice recently made things Instagram official, confirming their romance to the world. Sauce couldnt help but gush a little:
You know, we just be having a good time. Two young individuals, you know? She from New York, I play in New York. She talented, real talented when it comes to what she do, same for me.
He added that they vibe on a deep level, sharing similar interests and just enjoying each others company.
Now, heres where things get juicy. Sauce revealed that none other than NBA legend LeBron James had somewhat of a hand in sparking this romance sorta. When the cameraman asked how the couple first met, Sauce revealed that it all happened during a taping of LeBrons ‘The Shop’ podcast in April 2024. The episode was star-studded, featuring Ice, LeBron, Travis Scott, Chad Ochocinco Johnson, J-Rod, and, of course, Sauce himself.
I think we met at The Shop, Sauce shared. The little interview we did with LeBron and Trav and stuff like that. That was definitely the first time we saw each other in person. But I dont know if we knew each other before then. So, LeBron may not have been playing Cupid with a bow and arrow, but his platform brought these two together.
Rewind to April, when Ice Spice said, Forget the rumors, Im claiming my man! The Bronx rapper took to Instagram with a carousel of photos. But it was one photo in the gallery of snaps that had fans gagging. It was a cute mirror selfie with Sauce standing behind her like he was her protector. Rocking a pink two-piece tracksuit, Ice was looking good, and Sauce was right there, matching her energy. The bathroom snap was giving cozy, couple-y vibes, and fans were living for it!
