Everybody seems to be surprised that singer Ginuwine is going bankrupt. I mean, Ginuwine used to be the hottest thing back in the early 2000s. He’s sold over 7 million albums and we are confused as to where all of his coins went?
Elgin Baylor Lumpkin’s ( Ginuwine’s real name) lawyer Bruce Beckner admitted that he owes him tons of money, along with $300,000 that he currently owes in backed income taxes.
Not to mention, Ginuwine is currently in a legal battle with the executive producer, Robert Reives, of his hit album “The Bachelor” because Reives claims he’s owed $250,000 in royalties from a 1.25 million dollar album deal Ginuwine signed with Sony.
Ginuwine refutes this, stating that he can’t be sued because the deal happened so long ago, exceeding the statute of limitations.
Ginuwine’s lawyer attributes his financial struggle to his divorce from his wife Sole.
Dang, Sole really took his papuh. Divorce is extremely expensive!
We hope that Ginuwine can survive off of the money he is making from being in the TGT group with Tyrese, and Tank.
If this lawsuit with Reives doesn’t work out in his favor, he will be broke as a joke. We’re gonna pray for our boy Ginuwine!
