Cushmir McBride, a Pennsylvania man, has been sentenced after he allegedly used explosives to blow up ATM machines in multiple stores. The man reportedly conducted the scheme between 2020 to 2021.

More Details On Cushmir McBride’s Sentencing

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the 25-year-old was sentenced to “90 months imprisonment” and three years of supervised release. Additionally, McBride has been ordered to pay $417,463 in restitution and “a $300 special assessment.”

“McBride and crew carried out a string of violent and dangerous crimes, looking to cash in with a bang,” U.S. Attorney Romero reportedly stated. “Whether you rob a bank with a note, a store with a gun, or an ATM with an explosive, you’re committing a serious federal crime and should expect to be caught and prosecuted. As this defendant and his co-conspirators are learning, crime not only doesn’t pay, it can also cost you dearly.”

Here’s What The Pennsylvania Man Allegedly Did To The ATM Machines

The U.S. Attorney’s Office’s release states that McBride, 25-year-old Nasser McFall, and 37-year-old Kamar Thompson began blowing up and robbing ATMs in October 2020. Their actions were reportedly sparked by protests in response to the death of Walter Wallace Jr.

Walter Jr. was a Black man who was fatally killed by police on October 26, 2020, per USA Today.

On the 28th, they reportedly used an explosive device to blow up an ATM in a Philadelphia Target. The following day, they allegedly did the same thing at a Wawa store in the city.

Between October 2020 and December 2020, the group reportedly initiated the scheme on multiple occasions. They reportedly targeted a Target store, three Wawa locations, and a Wells Fargo bank. USA Today reported that the men reportedly made off with around $417,000 in total. Meanwhile, McBride reportedly carried out the scheme again in March 2021, setting off an explosive in another Wells Fargo bank, per NBC 10 Philadelphia.

The release notes that McBride and his co-conspirators were initially indicted in April 2021. Then, in January, he reportedly pleaded guilty to:

“conspiracy to maliciously damage property used in interstate commerce by means of an explosive, and aiding and abetting,” and “six counts of maliciously damaging property used in interstate commerce by means of an explosive, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.”

Furthermore, Thompson pled guilty to multiple similar charges in November 2021, while McFall did the same in June 2022. He was reportedly sentenced to 78 months imprisonment in January.

“McBride and crew carried out a string of violent and dangerous crimes, looking to cash in with a bang,” said U.S. Attorney Romero. “Whether you rob a bank with a note, a store with a gun, or an ATM with an explosive, you’re committing a serious federal crime and should expect to be caught and prosecuted. As this defendant and his co-conspirators are learning, crime not only doesn’t pay, it can also cost you dearly.”

Another Man Is Facing Charges After A Separate Shocking Incident

McBride isn’t the only man in Pennsylvania to make headlines for committing a shocking crime. As The Shade Room previously reported, Gary Miles turned himself into the police in July after allegedly exposing, pleasuring, and relieving himself on a woman in Dollar Tree.

Footage later went viral of the alleged victim chasing Miles out of the store as screamed and cried for help.
