Serena Seemingly Claps Back At Drake
Serena Williams had several viral moments throughout her monologue during the annual ceremony.
One particular instance that the innanet couldn’t get over was when she seemingly took a shot at Drake.
The tennis star mentioned Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s beef, hilariously noting that she wouldn’t want any smoke with K.Dot due to his success after his rap rivalry with Drake.
“If I’ve learned anything this year, it is that none of us, not a single one of us, not even me, should ever pick a fight with Kendrick Lamar. He will make your hometown not like you.” Serena said while onstage.
After her statement, Serena started dancing while Kendrick’s diss record to Drake, ‘Not Like Us,’ played in the background, and the audience immediately cheered.
Shortly after, the Grand Slam champion came for Drake, joking that the Toronto Raptors would disown him following his feud with Kendrick.
“The next time Drake sits courtside at a Raptors game, they are going to Forest Gump him,” Serena said.

Roommates, if you recall, Drake initially set things off with Serena after he called out her husband, Alexis Ohanian, on his 2022 joint album with 21 Savage, ‘Her Loss.’
In his solo song on the project, ‘Middle Of The Ocean,’ the Canadian rapper refers to Ohanian as a groupie.
“Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie / He claim we don’t got a problem but / No, boo, it is, like you comin’ for sushi / We might pop up on ’em at will like Suzuki,” Drake says in the song.
Drake’s bars caused fans to speculate whether or not he might have dated Serena. Well, according to UPROXX, Drizzy and Serena were spotted out a few times together starting in 2011, after he began to make appearances at her tennis matches. The outlet reports that they actually left the US Open semi-finals together in 2015.
Serena’s husband didn’t hesitate to clap back at Drake after he caught wind of his words on the ‘Her Loss’ album. The Reddit founder hopped on X, formerly known as Twitter, in November 2022, stating that he enjoys being the best groupie to his wife and their daughter.
