Sexyy Red dropped a bomb on fans on Saturday (Oct. 14) — and her Instagram comment sections have been flooded since. The 25-year-old announced she’s expecting her second child in an Instagram post, captioned, “Team boy or team girl.”
The first picture in the carousel featured SZA presenting Red’s poking baby bump, and the follow-up three showed the rapper posing solo.
Red reportedly made the surprise announcement after performing Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy” with SZA in St. Louis, per Uproxx.
As of Monday, the post had collected over 52,000 comments and more than 924,000 likes. Fan comments ranged from well wishes to disbelief and even fake anger at the “Pound Town” artist under her initial announcement.

The sentiments were the same in a follow-up post of Sexyy Red eating a plate of ribs. While there were a few “congratulations” in between, the comments seemingly did not approve of the rapper carrying a bundle of joy!

Sexyy Red Revealed Her Pregnancy Because She Was “Tired Of Fakin”
Early Monday, Sexyy Red took to her Instagram Story with insight into her pregnancy reveal.
She re-shared an Instagram feed post from Oct. 8. In the carousel post, she wore a cropped white tee and red shorts.
“I was pregnant asf on here trona suck my belly in…I got tired of fakin,” she wrote on the IG Story repost.
She added that she “couldn’t [breathe]” in a follow-up post featuring pictures of her at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards on Oct. 3.
At this time, Sexyy Red has not dished any details on her child’s father. As mentioned, she has one son whom she playfully mentions in her song “Pound Town 2.”
Needless to say, the bars, “Lookin’ for the hoochie daddies (where they at?), Where the niggas that get ratchet? (Where they at?) My son need a new pappy” were heavily repeated back to Sexyy Red in comment sections over the weekend.
