Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson had time this weekend and they did not hold back. The two NFL legends tapped into a recent viral story involving former Seahawks player Trevone Boykin. Let’s just say…the energy shifted instantly once Boykin mentioned Russell Wilson’s Thanksgiving table.
In a resurfaced clip, Boykin recalled spending Thanksgiving at Russell and Ciaras home, describing the family vibe as weird because Russells own family wasnt present at the dinner. Additionally, Trevone claimed that if he had Russells money and his Alaska Airlines partnership, hed be flying everyone out to his house to celebrate Thanksgiving in style noting that the intimate gathering he attended included Ciara, Russell, the nanny, baby Future, himself, and a few others. Its unclear why additional family members werent present, but its ultimately Russell and Ciaras business and their choice who attends their private holiday gathering.
Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson immediately called a foul, saying Boykin was purposely stirring up amess for attention. And Shannon doubled down, saying this is exactly why not everyone should be invited into your home, especially if theyre going to turn around and use your hospitality as shade. Chad Johnson chimed in too, saying Boykin was clearly looking for a viral moment at Russell and Ciaras expense. Both Shannon and Chad defended Russ, pointing out that what happens inside someones household especially on a holiday is their business, not something to dissect online for clout. The two NFL vets made it clear: Boykin crossed a line, and the internet seemingly agrees.

Fans dragged Trevone Boykin for having the nerve to speak negatively about someone who invited him into their home for Thanksgiving in the first place. Others pointed out the obvious why was he not with his own family for the holiday? Meanwhile, a few jokesters wanted to know if Ciara and Russell are still extending invites, because they would happily pull up a chair at that dinner table with zero complaints.
