Shaq had a new look while tending to his hosting duties during the NBA pre-show tonight on TNT.
His fellow hosts couldn’t help notice his new hairline so Shaq decided to address the elephant in the room.
“Let’s just get it out the way America,” Shaq began while describing why his new haircut, which was apparently the result of a lost bet to his friend Dwyane Wade. “I had a bet against one of my good friends D Wade.”
Now I’ve lost my share of bets, but none had this embarrassing of a result. Check out Shaq talk about his new haircut below:
Shaq said the actual bet was on the game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Miami Heat. Shaq went ahead and put his money on Milwaukee, saying that he predicted the team would be victorious over the Heat by 20 points.
“I said Milwaukee was going to win by 20 and the Heat won and I said ‘well what do you want me to do? pay you?'” Shaq said about his bet with D Wade. “He said ‘nah. You got to let your hairline grow. We want to see your hairline looking like Kenny Smith.’ So I just lined it up for y’all to see where my hairline starts and I look good.”
Shaq said he was so proud of his new look that he plans to keep his hair like that for the whole week. His co-hosts chuckled as an unfazed Shaq maintained that energy.
It’s good to see Shaq is in better spirits since paying tribute to his good friend, the late legend Kobe Bryant. He gave an emotional speech at Kobe’s memorial.Â
We’re still wishing healing to him and all of Kobe’s loved ones.
