Fatal Encounter Sparks Self-Defense Claim
Shiateek De-Shean Wilson allegedly admitted to shooting Miller in an interview with detectives but claimed it was self-defense, saying Miller pulled a gun on him. According to the affidavit, Wilson told police he arrived at the home around 1 a.m., intending to “surprise” his ex with flowers, money, and cocaine. When she wasn’t home, he hid in a closet until she returned — and that’s when the fatal confrontation occurred. As he ran from the scene, Wilson reportedly jumped fences and discarded the weapon. Investigators found multiple fired cartridge casings and bullet holes inside the home.
