Simone’s Reaction To Her Husband’s Dragging

Simone candidly admitted, “I thought it was hilarious at first, and then they hurt my feelings.”

“And then one night, I broke down and I’m like ‘Why are you guys talking about my husband like this? Like, you don’t know him. You don’t know who he is. And if anybody’s met him, they know he’s the sweetest guy and will do anything for anybody,'” she told Cooper

Biles added that she can take the heat, but when the attacks are on those she loves, she finds it difficult to cope. The gymnast admitted she gets emotional when she can’t respond to hateful comments.

“You’re not going to know I cried about it, but I be crying about some stuff. But I only cry about it because I can’t clap back. Know that,” Simone said.

Simone’s Husband’s Viral Comments

As previously reported by The Shade Room, Owens claimed he had never heard of Simone before they matched on the dating app Raya. The NFL player told the hosts of ‘The Pivot’ that he was “the catch” and highlighted how Biles drove 45 minutes to meet him for the first time.

After the interview, the Olympian said she thought her “man just killed it,” but after logging onto social media, she realized the world didn’t seem to agree.

“…I go on Twitter, and everybody’s like, ‘Divorce this man! He’s mean!’ And I’m like, ‘He’s the sweetest. He praises the ground that I walk on.’ Like truly, I’ve never met a man like him,” Biles shared.

She noted the cohost of ‘The Pivot, Ryan Clark, first used the phrase “the catch” and “hyped up” the moment. She chalked it up to a typical boy’s “fireside chat” that was all in good fun but blown out of proportion.
