Snoop Dogg Reveals His New Album Was Inspired By Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’

Snoop Dogg has been in the game for over 25 years, making him one of the biggest names in hip hop. He never stops creating and you’ll be interested to find out where the inspiration for his new album came from. Sitting down with Elliott Wilson during his #CRWN interview series, Snoop revealed that his album #Coolaid is an impromptu response to Beyoncé’s #Lemonade.

“I was listening to a particular record, Lemonade,” he said. “I’m being honest with you…that motherf***er was banging. It left me kind of feeling crazy because it was like somebody gotta say something to look out for my nephews and to represent the men. I wasn’t even trying to answer her but I was just trying to put some flavor in the game. You know, she had Lemonade. I wanted to open up a Coolaid stand.”

The rest of Snoop’s interview explored how well he feels President Obama did during his presidency Death Row’s feud with Bad Boy and even his relationship with Notorious B.I.G. before he passed. You can check out some of the highlights on Billboard  here!
