Cori Broadus, daughter of one of the greatest rappers to come out of the West Coast Snoop Dogg, took to Instagram with a message for folks criticizing her relationship! Cori and her creative director bae Wayne have been dating for a lil’ minute now, but some people aren’t convinced he has the purest intentions.
In a few posts on her IG story, Cori responded to folks online who believe that Wayne is only dating the pop singer because of who her dad is.
Y’all are so miserable and it’s so sad. It’s so hard not to let ppl comments get to you cause you know deep down they struggling but I’m still human and words hurt.. How do y’all have time to sit on someone page and just talk sh*t it never made sense to me. But if they see you in person it’s another story. So so hateful I’m praying cause that’s a sickness fr.”

Cori’s posts prompted a social media conversation about the impact that colorism has on the black community. Twitter users came to Broadus’ defense, attributing the statements about her relationship and her physical appearance to the idea that darker skinned people are less attractive.
I feel for Snoop Dogg’s daughter. The people really has an issue with dark skin women being loved out loud and big women being loved out loud by someone who THEY think would never go for them. I hate the comments: “what am i doing wrong?” or “and I’m still single”. Grow tf up
