Social media users are weighing in after rapper Toosii publicly called out a Syracuse University football coach during a livestream, following confusion surrounding his college football commitment. The moment came as Toosii also revealed he has officially started classes at Louisiana State University.
As previously reported by The Shade Room Teens, Toosii has put down the mic and decided to pursue his dreams of playing Division 1 college football. The 26-year-old rapper recently committed to and later decommitted from Syracuse University, a move that quickly sparked online conversation. Following the decommitment, a Syracuse football coach publicly addressed Toosiis decision, suggesting the rapper was unlikely to play on the team but could potentially walk on. The coach also noted that other recruits would take priority.
Well, it seems like Toosii didn’t agree with that narrative.
On Wednesday, January 28, Toosii went live and called the Syracuse coach a bozo, claiming the coach spoke out prematurely. According to Toosii, the coach addressed his decision publicly because, I told you I wasnt coming there no more, and you wanted to break the news first before I told people what school Im going to.
Toosii also disputed claims that he discussed a walk-on role, stating that conversations with Syracuse centered around a full scholarship.
Amid the ongoing debate over his decommitment from Syracuse, Toosii revealed he had already started his first day at Louisiana State University. On Wednesday morning, he shared a morning prayer on social media, marking the start of his new journey on campus.
However, by the end of the school day, it seems Toosii was rethinking his decision after realizing how well-known he was on campus. He shared a photo on campus with a student before tweeting about the attention, writing: First day of school, left out of class, had a line at my car waiting to take pictures. I probably should take online classes, right? lol.
As expected, social media users shared a wide range of reactions on Instagram.
