Last month, Toosii celebrated committing to his hometown school, Syracuse University, in an Instagram photoshoot. Now, the rapper announced he’s stepping away from the team, as the Syracuse football coach weighs in.
On Wednesday (January 20), Toosii sparked major reaction online after announcing on X (formerly Twitter) that he would no longer play for the Syracuse University football team. “No longer committed to the University of Syracuse… Stay tuned. All Glory To God,” he wrote in a post on X.
Following Toosiis tweet, Syracuse University head football coach Fran Brown addressed the situation in a video with Cuse Sports Talk. Brown said Toosii is most likely not going to play on the team, but could still have the opportunity to walk on. Im willing to give Toosii a shot to live out his dream, Brown said. However, he explains that with more commitments filling the roster, its uncertain whether he will join the team.
Fans quickly took to The Shade Room Teens comment section to share their thoughts on Toosii’s latest update.
