Social media users are livid and goin’ OFF after a clip shared on Donald Trump‘s Truth Social account showed the Obamas Michelle and Barack depicted as apes.
According to Newsweek, during the late hours of Thursday, February 5, a post was shared on Donald Trump’s Truth Social account which featured a 62-second video about voting machines allegedly stealing the 2020 election. Per the outlet, toward the end of the video, a jaw-dropping clip appeared of the “Obamas’ faces” on the bodies of apes “for about 1 second. This, reportedly as the song ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ by the Tokens played.
Per the outlet, the clip appears to have originated from the “Patriot News Outlet.”

Social media users entered TSR’s comment section, goin’ OFF about the clip showing the Obamas as apes.
Instagram user @msblingmiami wrote, “Rage baiting then trying to gas light us about it being a meme lol. Stay focused everyonewere not falling for it no matter what month it is. ”
While Instagram user @dougie_dagoat added, “I cannot wait until Trump is in HELL”

While Instagram user @raymond_agaba1 added, “Lets be honest. This is an indirect way of saying the N-word. How is this okay?”
According to CNN, on Friday, February 6, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt initially released a statement in response to the public outrage.
This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from ‘The Lion King.’ Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public,” she stated.
Then, later on Friday, the White House issued an updated statement to NBC News.
“A White House staffer erroneously made the post. It has been taken down.”
At this time, Michelle and Barack Obama have not publicly reacted to the video posted on Donald Trump’s Truth Social account. Additionally, it appears the post has been deleted as of Friday afternoon.
