Jada Pinkett Smith Says The Video Showed When She & Tupac Were “Simply Kids Together”

The Girls Trip actress shared the clip through Instagram on Wednesday (Sept. 20).

It featured Jada and Tupac — who became friends while attending high school together in Baltimore, Maryland — dancing around while lip-syncing to “Parents Just Don’t Understand.”

Within another upload, she shared that the video was taken during their junior year and highlighted them “simply [being] kids together.”

Beneath The Shade Room‘s upload about Jada Pinkett Smith’s video, the Roomies sounded off with their reactions. Many people weren’t feeling Jada’s post, especially considering how Will honored her in an upload just a couple of days earlier.

A user going by @mykemyke__ remarked, “Posting videos of ya Ex on ya husband song is crazy.”

As for @theacemua, she declared that Jada Pinkett Smith was “still in love with Tupac.”

Bringing up a letter that Willow Smith wrote Tupac, @itsfrankietho commented, “I will never forget when your kids wrote letter to Pac. You are wild as hell. lol”

Despite some of these sentiments, @goodworkcharlie pointed out, “Think this puts a couple points on the board for Will. Them dancing to his song while he getting Grammys off it definitely the W.”
