Jayda Cheaves Says People Should Be More Intentional Naming Their Kids

On Wednesday, April 9, a user on X, formerly known as Twitter, @livebitez, took to the platform to share footage apparently from Cheaves’ Snapchat account. Furthermore, in the clip, the mother of one spoke about parents “being more intentional” when they pick out names for their kids.

“Like, just imagine a baby with the name Keisha,” she said. “It makes sense as an adult, but as a baby, it’s like…”

As she continued, she explained that her name fits her. However, she does feel the name could come off a little misfitting when she’s a grandma.

“‘Grandma Jayda! Hey Grandma Jayda!'” she said, imitating her future grandchildren. “…As a super grown old lady… It just don’t sit well with me, and that’s why I’m about to call my momma because you didn’t think this through.”

Jayda Cheaves Previously Turned Heads For Wearing A See-Through Gala At A Benefit

This isn’t the first time Jayda Cheaves has turned heads this month. As The Shade Room previously reported, last week, Cheaves attended the Black Arts Council Benefit at MoMA in New York City. Amid the occasion, Cheaves posted footage of herself wearing an orange gown to the event.

Furthermore, the gown appeared see-through and gave bystanders a view of Cheaves’ undergarments. Ultimately, social media users shared their disapproving thoughts on Cheaves’ outfit choice.
