Marissa Da’Nae, the mother of NLE Choppas son, sparked widespread reaction online after making a bold claim about her childs relationship with the rapper. According to Danae, her son Chozen refers to her ex, rapper EKT 40, as dad. Now, NLE’s mom is responding, and the internet is dropping their reactions.
In a clip posted to Instagram user @livebitez’s account, Marissa Da’Nae explained that her son, Chozen, has never called “Bryson,” which is NLE Choppa’s first name, dad, and she seemed to imply that he does not believe NLE is his father. Instead, she said Chozen views her ex, rapper EKT 40, as his father.
The clip sparked widespread reaction online, prompting Chozens mother to take to her Instagram Stories to clarify and double down on her stance. She clarified EKT 40 is the only father figure her son knows, citing the time they have spent together, while also accusing NLE Choppa of failing to show up as a parent. Marissa further claimed NLE Choppa has shown favoritism toward his other children and has only seen their son three times in 2025.
Not long after Da’Naes comments began circulating, NLE Choppas mother, Angeleta, entered the conversation with a firm response. Pushing back against the narrative, she defended her son and wrote, Them kids know exactly who their father is. All three of them.
While NLE Choppa has not publicly addressed the claims, his mother has made it clear she disagrees with the online narrative about her son.
