More On Diddy’s Expected Prison Release Date

According to Fox News, on Monday, October 27, the federal Bureau of Prisons updated Diddy’s case, revealing that the now 55-year-old is expected to be released from behind bars on May 8, 2028. Per Fox News, Diddy has been in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his arrest in New York City on Sept. 16, 2024. Earlier this month, he was sentenced to a total of 50 months behind bars credited with time served. According to CNN, his projected release date was calculated to include the time he has spent detained.

PEOPLE adds that the May 2028 date is 30 months from now and seems to imply that Diddy could also be “let out a few months early on good behavior.” Nonetheless, it’s important to note that the release date is subject to change.

Lastly, the Bureau of Prisons has yet to decide where Diddy will spend the rest of his time behind bars. As the bureau makes this decision, Diddy’s legal team has made it clear that they plan to appeal his conviction and sentence. CBS News reports that his team began the process last week.

More On The Terms Of Diddy’s Prison Release

As The Shade Room previously reported, earlier this month, court documents were filed in the Southern District of New York affirming Diddy’s conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Furthermore, the documents noted that Judge Arun Subramanian is advocating for Diddy to be “incarcerated as close as possible to the New York metropolitan area.” While he’s behind bars, the documents noted that he should be considered for admission into a substance abuse program.

Overall, the documents revealed the conditions that have been set for once Diddy completes his time behind bars. Afterward, he’ll reportedly be on supervised release for five years and is required to abide by a long set of rules, or risk legal action once again.
