A source has reportedly revealed how Amanda Bynes reacted after being asked to participate in the ‘Quiet On Set’ docuseries.

Here’s How Amanda Bynes Reportedly Reacted To The Request
According to TMZ, “sources with direct knowledge” spoke with the outlet and shared that Bynes was approached to appear in the four-part docuseries. However, the 37-year-old allegedly declined to participate because “she simply didn’t have a bad experience” while working at Nickelodeon.
Additionally, the sources revealed that Bynes “didn’t go through what the ‘QOS’ subjects did.”
Furthermore, they stated that the former ‘Amanda Show’ actor has not watched the docuseries. However, they explained that Bynes is “grateful” for having her start on Nickelodeon and the platform launching her career.
The Actor’s Parents Reportedly Weighed In
According to the outlet, the sources also shared that Bynes’ parents, Rick and Lynn, were also asked to participate in ‘Quiet On Set.’ However, like their daughter, they allegedly declined.
The sources shared that Rick and Lynn are “private people and wanted to stay out of the spotlight.”
However, the sources did add that the couple watched the docuseries and “were both saddened and disgusted by the allegations.”
Ultimately, the sources maintained that neither Bynes nor her parents had the same experience as other Nick actors, “which is why it didn’t make sense” for them to participate in ‘Quiet On Set.’
Here’s What Was Revealed In ‘Quiet On Set’
As The Shade Room previously reported, the four-part docuseries aired on March 17 and 18. The show explored the “toxic and dangerous culture” of popular children’s shows between the 90s and 2000s.
During the series, Bynes’ former Nick co-star Drake Bell revealed he was sexually assaulted at 15. Bell explained this was at the hands of the company’s dialogue coach, Brian Peck.
Additionally, multiple former actors and crew members alleged Nick’s producer, Dan Schneider, promoted an “uncomfortable” work environment. Furthermore, Schneider was also accused of “sexualizing” children and writing racist skits.
In response, Schneider admitted that the series made him feel “awful and regretful and sorry,” per The Shade Room.
However, despite his response, Schneider’s statements prompted more former Nick stars — such as Alexas Nikolas of ‘Zoey 101’ and Allie DiMeco of ‘The Naked Brothers Band’ — to come forward with their experiences on set.
