Spring Breakers Continue To Party In Miami Despite Requested Social Distancing To Stop Coronavirus Spread

Despite the severe nature of things worldwide due to the coronavirus outbreak, many indulging in spring break don’t seem to care at all. In a new interview with spring breakers down in the Miami hotspot, those that were interviewed continue to party as much as they can despite the repeated warnings for social distancing.

It may be hard to believe, but there are currently thousands of people in Florida for spring break who are completely ignoring the nationwide requested social distancing rules that have been put in place to curb the coronavirus outbreak. Despite warnings from several public health experts, footage from beaches throughout Florida show them packed almost to capacity with spring breakers.

Not only are they frequenting the beaches—but they are also hitting up any establishment that’s still open, regardless of how limited the hours and dine-in seating is. Their goal is to party as much as they can without thinking about the highly contagious virus that has taken over the world.

Brady Sluder, who came all the way from Ohio for a Florida spring break, said this:

“If I get corona, I get corona. At the end of the day, I’m not gonna let it stop me from partying. We’re just out here having a good time. Whatever happens, happens.”

Others interviewed expressed similar attitudes and were more upset that businesses were closed or had limited hours than they were about contracting the deadly disease. To date, there have been 192 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Florida.
