Who else is still excited that Gucci Mane is out–making music, and back on the map? Have y’all heard “Everybody Lookin’?” Did y’all know it looks like it will debut at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart? Yes, it’s apparently projected to sell between 50k and 60k equivalent album units by the end of the week.
That’s besides the point, we’re here to spill this update about the state of Gucci Vs. Waka.
If y’all remember back in 2015, Waka made it clear that the beef was over but the possibilities of them being friends on a business level again was very slim-to-none.
He told MTV, “We’re always in a good place. I’d just say [from a] business point of view, it’ll never happen,” he said. “Just because a snake’s frozen right now, when it thaws out don’t mean it ain’t gonna bite you … [But] it’s under the rug, man. F*ck it. It is what it is.”
So fast forward to today, what does Waka have to say about the state of their union?
“Ok, so they wanna know what’s really going on with me and Guwop?” He said on his new Lebron Flocka James 4 mixtape. “What the fuck you think going on? Nothin'”
Well okay then!
But let’s rewind for some confirmation! Gucci had his “Gucci and Friends” concert last weekend in ATL and when Flocka was asked why he didn’t attend, he flat out said, “because I’m not a friend.”
Although Gucci hasn’t officially replied, it’s very likely–not definite, but likely that one “All My Children” featured a shoutout to Waka. This is what Gucci said: “Making rockstars out of trap boys / And if we never talk again, still got your back boy”
We will leave that up for the #Roommates to decide! Is that a shot at Waka or nah?
