Roommates, Stephen A. Smith has officially responded to Jamie Foxx stepping into The Shade Room to call him out for comments he made earlier this week about Ben Simmons! As expected, Stephen A. Smith did not hold back when he responded to Jamie Foxx slamming him in The Shade Room comment section for criticizing Ben Simmons for continuing to not play basketball.
Never one to shy away about giving his opinion, Stephen A. Smith was true to form when he responded to Jamie Foxx calling him out after he recently called Ben Simmons “the most pathetic athlete in the history of sports.”
He took time out during the latest episode of ‘First Take’ and had this to say to Jamie:
“Jamie Foxx knows better. He’s just highly protective of the Black athlete as he should be because they deserve our protection, to be quite honest. I’m calling out a Kyrie and Ben Simmons because of their impact and effect on the Black athlete. When you go to the collective bargaining table and they use them as an example to try to minimize their contribution to players, that’s about those players. That’s not just about them, that’s about the Black athlete.”

Stephen A. Smith also said that the only reason that he was addressing Jamie Foxx’s comment on-air was that the two previously spoke on the phone about the matter and came to an understanding that they agree to disagree because they are friends.
As we previously reported, earlier this week after the Brooklyn Nets were officially eliminated from the NBA Playoffs, Stephen A. Smith stated this about Ben Simmons, “Ben Simmons might also be the weakest, most pathetic excuse for a professional athlete we have ever seen in, not just American history, but the history of sports. I can’t think of a professional athlete that has come across more pathetic than this man.”
