Steve Harvey Shares Advice For Men Who Want To Stay Married

On Wednesday, December 4, the official Instagram account of ‘The Talk’ on CBS posted a clip of Steve Harvey’s recent appearance on the show. In the clip, Harvey was apparently asked to share the secret men should know in order to achieve longevity in their marriage.

“Keep your damn mouth shut,” he said. “Just shut up, don’t say nothing. It’s best don’t say nothing…”

In reaction, the audience erupted with applause as the female co-hosts of the show agreed with Harvey’s statement. At that point, a male co-host then chimed in with a question.

“What if you’re right?” he asked.

The male co-host’s question apparently caught Harvey off guard. In response, he replied bewildered.

“What?!” he said. “What? What? What did he say?! ‘What if you’re right?!’ What do you mean?!”

Watch Harvey’s humorous advice and reaction below.

Instagram user @labelles_views wrote, I love Steve, but I am speaking for the women who value good communication unless he is referring to the people who are married and unhappy. A happy marriage requires two happy individuals who love and respect each other, including each other’s opinions, thoughts, feelings, etc. Saying yes to everything results in resentment and ultimately causes disconnection in the marriage.”

While Instagram user @bishop_muhammad added,Yall talking about how many times he been married like he cant grow and learn seems like him and Marjorie are doing perfectly fine! Gotta give people space to grow and learn.”
Instagram user @iam_dambra wrote, His first marriage was like 14 years. Second was 9 and this one is almost 20. Yall acting like this man dont know marriage like shutup”

While Instagram user @dominiquechinn added, Arguing is a complete turn off. I zone out when a person want to argueŸ Ÿ™„”

A man should never hav a arguing match with his wife. It gives queen. Steve is right. And communication had nothing to do with grown men turning into queens when they want to win an argument. Like boy shut up already

Spectacular added:

The secret is to focus on winning the Wars, not the Battles. And you will have a happy life.Ÿ˜Š”

Ice Cube Also Turned Heads For Recently Schooling Cam Newton On Marriage

Steve Harvey isn’t the only celebrity going viral for his advice on marriage. As The Shade Room previously reported, in November, Ice Cube appeared as a guest on Cam Newton’s ‘Funky Friday’ podcast. During the show, Newton questioned Cube about how he’s been able to “stay true” to his identity of being a family man while also being a superstar.

Additionally, Newton asked Cube to share his secret to being married for 32 years.

“You gotta want it,” Cube explained. “You just gotta want it, man. Like, I dont want nobody to have my woman. Shes mine. Im hers… Every day aint gon’ be roses. You cant expect that from your spouse. Its all about, are yall a family or not? Its really all about a real commitment and not looking for all your needs to be met all the time”
