Steve Harvey’s Talk Show Is Coming Back, This Time On Facebook Watch

If you miss watching Steve Harvey on your big screen, now you’ll be able to catch him on your smaller screens. Steve is jumping on the digital wave and taking his daytime talk show to Facebook Watch, Variety reports. The new show titled “Steve on Watch” is set to premiere on Facebook Watch on January 6th.

Steve has already taped the first batch of new episodes for his revived show, and is shooting new segments at the Tyler Perry Studios, so yes to kings networking!

According to Facebook, that first set of episodes will run for 10 weeks, with multiple segments a week.

“Reaching my audience anywhere and everywhere they are has always been the goal,” Steve Harvey said in a statement. “Facebook Watch viewers are the most energetic, engaged community, and so are my amazing fans. Getting all those people to directly engage on a platform like this is the perfect evolution of the show.”

This appears to be a good move for Steve, considering his popularity on social media. Per stats supplied by Facebook and Steve’s company, his page received 2.2 billion views between September 2018 and August 2019, and 64 million engagements, while 35 videos earned more than 10 million views. In April 2019, Harvey’s Facebook page was the No. 6 most-viewed U.S. entertainment page, according to Tubular.
Steve’s former talk show, “Steve,” premiered in 2017 and aired on NBC-owned stations in the country’s key markets. His show was canceled as NBC opted to air Kelly Clarkson’s daytime talk show.
After “Steve” ended its run, the show was shopped around to stations, as well as cable outlets, but then producers began looking at digital buyers, including Facebook and it seems that’s where Steve found his new home.
