Producer Swizz Beatz is being accused of conspiring with an associate to cheat a car leasing company out of millions of dollars.
Metro-Gem Leasing and Funding is suing him for $42 million, alleging that he and his associate Macky Dancy used their name to lease luxury cars like McLarens, Bentleys, Porsches and Ferraris to third parties at a marked-up price.
Metro says that they were happy to lease the vehicles for Beatz “use with his wife Alicia Keys.” According to the NY Post, the lawsuit alleges that Beatz instead leased those at rates of up to $7,000 a month. Beats and Dancy also allegedly resold a Ferrari that they didn’t own, however the producer and his team deny ever conspiring with Dancy. A rep says that he and his associates “are innocent pawns in a years-long, multi-million dollar dispute.”
As of right now, the Dancy’s Dancy Auto Dealership has been renamed and is no longer affiliated with him. Beatz isn’t here for the rumors at all and can’t believe that people are so greedy! “People just do and say anything these days for $ Wow! The crazy part is people also believe anything these days SMH! Going back to bed,” he said.
