T.I.’s use of the word ‘expeditiously’ took social media by storm, but it looks like it just took him to the top! After announcing the start of his ‘ExpediTIously’ podcast, T.I. is now holding the number one spot on Apple Music charts. The gag is, he’s only dropped one episode so far!
The trouble man sits with LL Cool J, Ice Cube, and his bae Tiny, to roll out his pilot episode, which was clearly lit!
T.I. says he started the podcast with the plans to discuss important social issues and interview important people.
“I looked at my interactions on social media and realized that that platform wasn’t enough to flush out my ideas,” he says. “In order to give those ideas a fair chance to breathe, I think my opinion required a little more time and dialogue.”
The pilot episode dives into various topics from Tip’s family life, to candid stories about his past run ins with the law. He says, however, we can expect him to share even more gems in the most honest way possible.
“Whatever you think, you’re allowed to think it. Your opinion is your opinion no matter how outlandish it may be. When you’re a celebrity or public figure, you bow down with protocols or expectations of he public; they keep us from saying how we really feel,” T.I. continues. “I think that’s the opposite of freedom. I feel like me being able to share my opinions, views and perspective, there’s a freedom that comes with that and I really do appreciate it. I’m looking forward to it.”
And from the looks of it, the audience is enjoying Tip’s views and perspective, as his very first episode has landed him the number one spot on Apple Podcasts. Tip dominated in the general category, as well as the society and culture category.
