Takari Lee Speaks On Viral Physical Altercation Between Sister Chantel Christie & Mom Jackie Christie On ‘Basketball Wives’

On Thursday, July 24, Lee appeared as a guest on the livestream showing of the ‘Make It Make Sense’ podcast. Around the 11-minute mark, Lee addressed her earlier reaction to the viral physical altercation between Chantel and Christie. Per Urban Belle Magazine, Lee initially reacted to footage of the altercation via Instagram.

“She [Chantel] doesnt even know our momIf she did, she would only try to protect her She [Jackie] didnt deserve to be done like this on her platformthats all I have to say about this,” Lee wrote at the time.

Furthermore, Lee explained that her comment was in reference to Chantel not being aware of Jackie’s life before she had kids. Lee explained that her mom “is a whole warrior,” and came up “in the struggle.”

“That made me give my mom so much grace,” she explained. “It’s really that [realization of], ‘Oh, she’s just a girl she’s just a girl.'”

As the conversation continued, Lee shared her thoughts on the viral altercation. Initially, she explained that she and Lee are not on speaking terms. However, she explained that she’s been in communication with Jackie for the past five years.

“My stomach hurt,” she said, recalling her reaction to first watching the clip of the altercation. “My stomach was hurting when I heard about it, and I was in straight disbelief. Then it was like, it really happened like that it just made my stomach hurt so bad. I just felt so bad, and I just wanted to reassure my mom.”

Earlier this week, Takari Lee appeared to poke fun at the incident between her sister Chantel and her mom Jackie with a quick clip shared on TikTok.

Chantel apparently caught wind of the clip and hopped into @realityentertainmenttv’s comment section with some words for Takari Lee.

As The Shade Room previously reported, the physical altercation between Chantel Christie and Jackie Christie aired on the latest episode of season 12 of ‘Basketball Wives.’ In the clip, Chantel called Jackie “vile” and said she had “zero respect” for her. Furthermore, their conversation escalated with Chantel pushing Jackie before Jackie punched Chantel.

On Wednesday, Chantel Christie broke her silence on the incident, contributing her pushing of Jackie to Jackie allegedly touching her arm. In addition, Chantel called the incident “unfortunate” but said it was a “long time coming.”
