Tamar Braxton‘s on-again-off-again boo, Jeremy Robinson, was recently arrested for DUI, otherwise known as driving under the influence.
According to The Georgia Gazette, Robinson was booked into Cobb County Jail on Thursday, June 27. The records add that Robinson was booked on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence and “violation of a traffic control device.”
The Georgia Gazette adds that Robinson was also booked on “willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer.”
Georgia Criminal Lawyer reports that failure to obey a traffic control device can result in points on one’s license, an up to $1,000 fine, and an increased insurance premium. Furthermore, the outlet adds that obstruction of a law enforcement officer can also result in a fine of up to $1,000 and/or jail time of up to one year.
According to Lawson & Berry, a first-time DUI offense can result in 12 months in jail and a $1,000 fine. However, the outlet notes that the consequences can increase for an individual who is a repeat offender.
At this time, it remains unclear whether Robinson has been arrested for DUI in the past. However, Robinson was apparently released from Cobb County Jail the same day of his arrest.
Social media users reacted to Robinson’s arrest in The Shade Room’s comment section. Many appeared to be surprised since Brqaxton’s on-again-off-again boo works as a personal injury attorney.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Robinson and Braxton initially made headlines when they were spotted together in August 2022.
In March of the following year, the pair initially revealed their engagement, per The Shade Room. However, in October 2023, Robinson revealed that their engagement had ended before he was spotted out at a basketball game with ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star Tommie Lee.
Robinson’s brief stint with Lee sparked back-and-forth between her and Braxton. However, Braxton and Robinson resumed their romance by the end of 2023, per The Shade Room. In December of that year, Robinson even got back down on one knee to propose to Braxton again.
Despite their apparent reconciliation, it remains unclear whether Robinson and Braxton are still going strong. Most recently, in May, the pair sparked breakup rumors after Braxton issued a public apology speaking about “hurting the person that you love,” per The Shade Room.
A few weeks later, fans seemed to feel that Robinson owed Braxton a public apology after a woman named Angela Stanton posted a selfie with Robinson. In the caption of her post, Stanton tagged Braxton with a few spicy words, per The Shade Room.
“Hey @tamarbraxton remember when you told my child he didnt need me?! Well last night I told your man he didnt need you [smiling emoticon]. Of course he agreed…” Stanton wrote.
Stanton’s public shot at Braxton ultimately led to Robinson taking to social media to set the record straight.
