magine how different Scandal would have been if Taraji P. Henson was Olivia Pope! In a recent interview Taraji spilled some tea that she was up against Kerry Washington for the role.
According to The Jasmine Brand, Taraji is happy that the role went Kerry.
“I auditioned for Shonda Rhimes for ‘Scandal’. Thank God, Kerry [Washington] got it. It was her job. I think that was the last time I auditioned.”
She continued,
“I’m not that actress that wants to do everything. When I got it [the script], I was like ‘This is Kerry Washington’. That was her blessing.”
