The Gworlz Came To SLAY–Our Top Eight Ladies From The Met Gala!

Roommates, the 2022 Met Gala finally returned to its regular schedule after taking place in September of last year and being completely cancelled in 2020–and to celebrate its triumphant return, the ladies came through with some of the fashion world’s best designs. Some of our celebrity faves, such as Janelle Monae, Chloe Bailey, Teyana Taylor and Cardi B, made it clear that the Met Gala was definitely ladies night!

Janelle Monae

Janelle Monae was giving everything that she had and serving a moments, showing up wearing a full-length black beaded gown, complete with a pearl-encrusted headdress.

Winnie Harlow

Serving an ethereal princess and high fashion at the same time, Winnie Harlow definitely got the fashion message at this year’s Met Gala!

Teyana Taylor

Combining equals parts fashion, sci-fi and rockstar, Teyana Taylor made heads turn when she stepped onto the Met Gala carpet in her stunning ensemble.

SZA

Black excellence was on full display courtesy of SZA, as she put her best fashions front and center to shut down the red carpet. Wearing a voluminous magenta gown and a massive black hat with matching boots, she clearly understood the assignment!

Cardi B

Cardi B made her fans wait for her arrival, but it was definitely worth it! Hitting the red carpet wearing an embellished, figure-enhancing Versace gown (and accompanied by Donatella Versace herself) Cardi looked a a glittery, bejeweled award at this year’s Met Gala!

Chloe Bailey

Everyone’s favorite IT girl Chloe Bailey, stepped out at this year’s Met Gala looking like the head member of the Beyhive! Wearing a luxe gold gown with exaggerated curves and a neckpiece with a bee in the center, Chloe made her second appearance at the Met count.

Vanessa Hudgens

Met Gala 2022 co-host Vanessa Hudgens proved that she is a very long way from her ‘High School Musical’ roots by wearing a black, lace see-through gown with a billowing train that had heads turning as soon as she hit the red carpet.

Lori Harvey

Although she didn’t grace the red carpet with her bae Michael B. Jordan, Lori Harvey still managed to snag a good portion of the spotlight by wearing a black dress that looked simple…until you got an up close look at her rock-hard abs courtesy of its midriff-baring design.

This year’s Met Gala may be officially over, but we are already looking forward to next year when some of our faves return, including Rhianna, Zendaya and Kanye West!
