The Nominations For The 2018 NAACP Image Awards Are Revealed!

The year is quickly wrapping up, and before you know it award season will be right around the corner. The first show to start off the New Year will be none other than the 49th NAACP Image Awards.

Like always the show caters to the melanin kings and queens that have been making moves all year long, which means that all of our favorites have nabbed one or more nominations.

According to Deadline, the award show celebrates the accomplishments in “television, music, literature, and film, and also honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.”

Some of the nominees for Entertainer of the Year include Jay-Z, Chance The Rapper, Issa Rae, and Bruno Mars.

When it comes to some of our favorite television shows, Black-ish, Power, Insecure and Ballers are just a few being recognized for their success.

The 49th NAACP Image Awards is set to take place on January 15th, 2018.
