Tia Mowry Gives Update On Her Life After Divorce
TSR shared a clip from her new reality series, ‘Tia Mowry: My Next Act,’ which Entertainment Tonight released. In the exclusive footage, Tia emotionally expresses how difficult it is for her kids not to be raised by both parents in one household.
“And when you’re dropping your kids off, you visually see how that is no longer,” Tia says while wiping away tears.
The actress also stated that being alone has been the most “challenging” part of her divorce. Additionally, she expressed that she wished she could lean on her sister, Tamera Mowry, during this difficult time in her life.
“It’s times like this that I feel and [wish] that my sister and I were still close. And I could pick up the phone and call her, but that’s just not where we are right now,” Tia continued.
Tia Reacts To Viral Awkward Hug With Ex-Husband
In addition to sharing her life update, Tia also discussed her viral moment with her ex-husband Cory Hardrict at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards in March.
Another clip from the reality series shows Tia recalling the incident with a friend. She said the attention the interaction received was “so exhausting.”
In the viral footage, Tia and Corey paused for interviews on the red carpet and stood beside each other. The ex-couple reached out to one another, with Hardrict seeming to hesitate before embracing Tia while she leaned into his arms for a hug.

As The Shade Room previously mentioned, Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict finalized their divorce in April 2023 after 14 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation.
Us Weekly obtained court documents revealing that Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict’s marriage officially ended on April 24. The outlet noted that “specific details” about the proceedings emerged, and both parties signed an agreement on property and support rights. Additionally, Mowry and Hardrict will share joint custody of their two children, son Cree and daughter Cairo. Their divorce coincided with what would have been their 15th anniversary, as the couple married in April 2008, according to PEOPLE.
Cory Hardrict shared his feelings about the divorce during a panel discussion at the American Black Film Festival in June. Per Essence, the actor expressed that facing the situation alone has been tough.
“It’s tough when it feels like you’re going through something alone and no one understands, and no one’s there for you. It was a year and a half crying myself to sleep every night,” Cory said.
