Tiffany Haddish Responds To Recent DUI Arrest With A Lil’ Jokey Joke

Tiffany Haddish is seemingly taking her recent arrest one joke at a time. The comedian used her talent to address her driving-under-the-influence (DUI) incident during a show in Long Beach, California.

According to Page Six, Haddish cracked a joke about her arrest less than 24 hours after Beverly Hills officers booked her. TMZ first obtained the audio.

An audience member asked Haddish on Friday (Nov. 24) what happened to her the previous night. They were referencing her Thursday night DUI incident. At first, she responded, “I don’t know,” and then shared the joke with her laughing audience.

“I prayed to God to send me a man with a job, preferably in a uniform,” Tiffany Haddish said. “God answered my prayers.”

That’s all Tiffany Haddish offered about the incident at her Laugh Factory show. Following her set, TMZ reports that she was driven home while she sat in the backseat with an unidentified man.

Police Say Tiffany Haddish Was Asleep At Wheel In Middle Of Traffic

As TSR previously reported, police cuffed Tiffany Haddish early Friday morning after the local station received a concerned call at about 5:45 a.m. The caller revealed someone was stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive. When police arrived, they reportedly found Haddish slumped over at the wheel while her car was still running. TMZ obtained photos from the arrest, seemingly showing Tiffany calmly entering the police vehicle in handcuffs.

The comedian performed at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood on Thursday evening for their free Thanksgiving show. However, her whereabouts in the hours leading up to the arrest remain unclear.

It’s unclear when Tiffany Haddish is expected in court concerning the California DUI arrest.

However, TMZ reports that she’s due in court on Dec. 4 for a separate DUI case she caught in January 2022. In that instance, the comedian was also cited for improper stopping on a roadway in Atlanta. This means Friday’s arrest marks her second DUI-related incident in nearly two years.

There has been no additional word from Tiffany Haddish on her most recent arrest since Friday’s show.
