Common might be ready to put a ring on Jennifer Hudson‘s finger less than a year into dating. Now, his ex-girlfriend, Tiffany Haddish, has responded to his remarks about wanting to walk down the aisle!
Common Declares His Strong Commitment To Jennifer Hudson
The rapper got candid about his relationship with Jennifer while speaking to ‘The Breakfast Club’ this week.
As previously reported, Common confirmed his romance with J-Hud in January after months of speculation and sightings together. He spilled the tea while speaking to her on her talk show. At the time, Common described her as “one of the most beautiful people” he’s “ever met.”
And from his conversation with ‘TBC,’ it appears he still feels the same way seven months later! He shared that dating a woman from his hometown, Chicago, feels like “home.”
“This is definitely…with all due respect to all the women I’ve dated…this is a really healthy and beautiful relationship, and I’m just doing my best to keep God first,” he shared.
Common added that he’s putting in the work to hold himself accountable in their relationship, including applying his therapy learnings. “If I’m going to get married, it’s to her,” he said.
Tiffany Haddish Reacts To Common Wanting To Marry J-Hud
The clip of Common speaking on potentially marrying Jennifer has been making its rounds online. After The Shade Room shared it, his ex-girlfriend Tiffany Haddish slid in the comment section.
@klassykaramelkween wrote, “Well there he said it he wants to marry her he ain’t neva said that abt no woman b4.”
Tiffany responded to that comment, writing, “EXACTLY! Hope they actually get married.”
It’s unclear if the comment comes with a lil’ shade or if Haddish is really sending her ex-man well wishes. She and Common began dating in 2020 and quietly separated in 2021. He confirmed the split in December of that year and pointed to their busy work schedules as the reason.
While he’s moved on romantically, Tiffany Haddish might still be out here splashing in the singles pool. Most recently, she went viral for shooting her shot at Leonardo DiCaprio a second time!
