Tiffany Haddish Shares Emotional Footage Of Her Learning About Her Grammy Win For Best Comedy Album

There are many celebrities that are still absorbing the excitement of the 2021 Grammy Awards, as they walked away with trophies from music’s biggest night. One person who can now call themselves a Grammy-Award winner is none other than Tiffany Haddish.

She won the Grammy for Best Comedy Album for her stand-up special “Black Mitzvah.” However, Tiffany was not present at the award show to hear about her huge Grammy win. Instead, she was on set filming her show “Kids Say The Darndest Things,” when she received the exciting news.

She shared footage of the exact moment she found out, and it turned into a very emotional moment.

Tiffany was on set when the show’s producer started to speak to her through her earpiece and revealed the big news to her.

An emotional Tiffany said, “You know a black woman hasn’t won in that category since 1986. A black woman hasn’t won for Best Comedy Album since Whoopi Goldberg.”

Tiffany continued to speak and motivate the young girls that were on set with her as she explained why she began to cry. She said, “It’s a lot of bumpy roads that you cross, right. It’s a lot of times you feel like, ‘Am I doing the right thing? Is this good enough? Am I good enough? Am I strong enough to do this job?’”

“You just have to believe in yourself as much as you can, and against all odds, you just say, ‘You know what, I’m just going to put my best foot forward. I’m going to give the world the best that I got,’” she continued.

Other big winners from the night also included Beyoncé, Megan Thee Stallion, H.E.R., and even Nas, who won Best Rap Album, which was his very first Grammy within his 30-year rap career.
