TikTok Clarifies Accusations Made By Lizzo, ‘TikTok Loves Lizzo’ (Exclusive)

TSR Exclusive: TSR Updatez — Lizzo had fans riding hard for her after she alleged that TikTok had removed her bathing suit videos from the app.

Fans pointed to a potential bias by the app by allegedly allowing other stars to keep their bathing suit videos up but TikTok exclusively tells us that this is not the case.

A spokesperson for TikTok clarified that the incident Lizzo was referring to was a video of hers that was taken down because it was initially believed to have violated the app’s community guidelines. After further review, the app reinstated the video recognizing that her video did not, in fact, violate their rules.

“TikTok loves Lizzo,” the spokesperson said. “We saw that there was an issue and her content went through an appeals process. We’re thrilled that Lizzo uses the app to express herself and share her experiences.”

Earlier we reported that Lizzo called out TikTok on its own app by uploading. a video questioning why her videos had been removed. She addressed TikTok in her video message saying, “Tiktok…we need to talk.”
