Last month, singer #Tinashe filed for a restraining order against a crazed fan named Martin Murphy who vehemently insisted that he was married to her. After attempting to reinstate his gun license, he had drove from Boston all the way to LA and ended up near Tinashe’s parents home, which frightened her and her family as well as Martin’s family.
Martin’s father told a judge that his son had “suffered a psychotic break and is unable to distinguish reality from fantasy” and that Tinashe was in danger. The judge agreed and granted the singer a temporary restraining order against Martin.
As of this week, she has officially been granted a restraining order which states that Martin must stay at least 100 years away from her and that he can not own nor possess a firearm. Any weapons that are currently in his possession must be turned over to either a gun dealer or the police.
