The former ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star had folks side-eyeing his message after he dropped a video talking about starting a new relationship shortly after his divorce from Kandi Burruss was finalized. Whew but before yall jump to conclusions, Todd quickly set the record straight on what he really meant. And, it might not be what you expected.
On Sunday, Todd shared that after his divorce, which reportedly included a $426K lump sum settlement, he made a promise to himself to reconnect with his faith. In a video shared to his Instagram, the 52-year-old admitted it had been a long time since he last set foot in church. Along with a caption that read, Not sure who needs to hear this its ok to start a new relationship, he later revealed that a message from Jamal H. Bryantoften associated with the Bronner familys ministry circleinspired him to take that step.
He explained that if he was going to return, he wanted to be intentional about where he worships. Ultimately, he decided to attend a church connected to the Bronner family, who also live in his former neighborhood. Todd ended the clip by making it clear: while one relationship may have ended, hes now focused on building a new one spiritually.
Fans quickly flooded Todds Instagram comment section with reactions, and folks definitely had a lot to say. Some praised his decision, calling his relationship with God the best one to start at any time. While others couldnt help but point out they wished he had leaned into his faith during his marriage. The buzz comes as their divorce was recently finalized, with reports previously confirming that the two have officially gone their separate ways and will be focusing on co-parenting their children, Ace and Blaze.
