Ever since Tekashi 69 made his return to social media after being released early from prison, there have been a lot of critics against his braggadocious behavior. You can now add Tom Hanks son Chet Hanks to that list of critics.
Tekashi 69, who is currently serving the rest of his 2-year sentence on house arrest, has been busy the past couple of days. After dropping new music Friday, he also went live on Instagram to talk about his federal case and disclosed why he cooperated with the feds in order to put his former fellow gang members behind bars.
Rappers including Meek Mill and Rich The Kid have weighed in on Tekashis movement and popularity since being released, which is understandable given that Tekashi goes against a street code that many rappers follow.
So it was a little out of left field when Chet Hanks, son of legendary actor Tom Hanks, dropped his two cents on the situation.
On Monday, Chet took to his Instagram story to sound off on Tekashi 69 and his fans who consider him legendary.
Id rather be broke and be able to go where I like/do as I please than have 100 Billion and have to live in hiding with 24/7 security team…think about that for all you idiots calling 69 a goat and legendary, Chet started his rant against Tekashi.
He continued, He literally told you on the stand that the gangster image was just a persona to boost my career only to get out talking about upping 100 shots at the chicken spot??? And yall still going for it.
Chet told his followers not to be fooled by Tekashis antics on social media, suggesting that Tekashi is actually afraid.
Dont be fooled by social media that dude is SCARED S***LESS but has no choice but to laugh and make light of it cuz he knows hes a marked man for the rest of his life either way, Chet said.
He ended his rant with the following, People see a bunch of jewelry and diamond teeth and numbers on Instagram and actually believe dude is really happy as f**k living the life…All I see is FEAR, Chet wrote. But hey thats just me
