#Roommates, the last few months have been quite eventful for Trey Songz, as his personal life and extracurricular activities have been the subject of intense online debate…however, now his legal issues have once again taken center stage. According to recent reports, Trey Songz has just been hit with a new lawsuit for the alleged assault and battery of a bartender back in 2019.
@TMZ_TV reports, a bartender has served Trey Songz with official court documents in the form of a lawsuit regarding Trey’s alleged assault of him while working at the Hollywood Palladium back in 2019. Trey is being sued for battery after the man claims that during his shift around midnight at the famed concert venue on May 9, 2019, Trey was attending a Cardi B concert and then jumped on the bar to watch the show—which is completely against the Hollywood Palladium’s policy.
Things allegedly escalated from there, as the bartender (who has not been publicly identified) says he told Trey that he couldn’t sit at the bar, but he was ignored. The man says he gently put his hand on Trey’s shoulder to get his attention and ask him to get down, but things turned physical. The bartender says that’s when Trey allegedly turned around and punched him in the head—and turned back around to watch Cardi’s show as if nothing happened.
The bartender says he suffered physical pain and emotional and psychological injury as a result of the alleged attack. He is suing for an undisclosed amount for damages, pain, and suffering.
As we previously reported, earlier this year Trey Songz was arrested for physically assaulting a Kansas police officer who attempted to reprimand him for not wearing a mask while attending a Kansas City Chiefs game. It was recently announced that he won’t face any charges in the incident, following a court hearing.
