Roommates, we are sending our prayers to the family and friends of legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who is most known for being the creative director of Chanel and Fendi. According to reports, he passed away in Paris at the age of 85.
Bernard Arnault, President of LVMH, the company that owns Fendi, said in a statement, “With Karl Lagerfeld, we lose one of the creative geniuses that helped make Paris the world capital of fashion and Fendi one of the most innovative Italian fashion houses. We owe him a lot: his taste and his talent were the most exceptional that I have ever known.”
Speculation of his health condition reportedly started to circulate in January when he missed out on Chanel’s summer/ spring show in Paris. The brand said he was “feeling tired.”
